Kick off the weekend in Waikiki with a free fireworks show every Friday at Waikiki Beach. Set against a beautifully serene backdrop, this long-standing tradition offers a festive way to celebrate the start of your weekend.

Hula Lessons at Royal Hawaiian Center

Tuesdays, 11AM – 12PM at the Royal Grove
Hula is the art of Hawaiian storytelling through dance. Learn basic hand gestures and footwork as you explore how movement brings tradition to life. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

Torch Lighting Ceremony & Free Hula Show

Tues, Thurs & Sat, 6:30 – 7:30PM (Feb-Oct) / 6 – 7PM (Nov-Jan)
As the sun sets over the Pacific, torchbearers in traditional Hawaiian attire light the torches along Waikiki Beach, casting a warm, mesmerizing glow. The ceremony, accompanied by traditional song and dance, offers an authentic experience that makes you feel like a true kamaʻāina.

The Hapalua – Hawaii’s Half Marathon race will be back on April 13 2025, starting in Waikiki and finishing 13.1 miles later in Kapiolani Park. There are no qualifications to enter and runners and walkers are equally welcome. There is no time limit at the Hapalua.
